Close friends of super hit actress Katrina Kaif suggest that while actor Salman Khan is ready to tie the knot, it is his lady love that is holding back. Many years his junior, Kaif is riding high in Bollywood these days and doesn’t want to jeopardize things by getting married. Salman is already facing a lot of pressure from the family to tie the knot. “Salim uncle and Salma aunty keep telling him to walk down the aisle. Also they are tremendously fond of Katrina. For them she is already a part of the family. Whether Salman is in town or not, Katrina stays in touch and drops in often to see them. She has a very good set of family values and that has gone down very well with Salman’s family. It is a refreshing change for them to see him with a woman who is actually a calming factor on him,” says a friend of the family.In fact Salim Khan and family made sure that they attended Kat’s birthday party on Wednesday night but also make it a point to be a part of most of her film premieres.“When Race was released, Salman was not in town. So while they couldn’t make it to the premiere, Salim Khan, Salma, Helen, Alvira Khan and all the kids of the family attended a small private screening with other members of the fraternity. Similarly Salim Khan is also known to give regular feedback to Katrina on her performances,” says a source.So what is that is actually preventing her from saying yes? With recent hits like Race, Partner and Welcome the actress is said to be charging close to 4 crores per film. And in the next twelve months, Katrina stands to walk home with 20 crores from films alone as she will be seen in numerous big budgeted films like Singh is Kinng, Blue, Yuvraaj, Hello, Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani to name a few. Along with hit films are the numerous brand endorsements that are knocking on Kaif’s door currently.
