The French really seem to have taken a fancy for our Bollywood Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan. After felicitating him with the prestigious French honour, The Order of Arts et Lettres, at a ceremony in Mumbai recently, now the French want a wax statue of SRK's to be placed at the famous Grevin Museum in Paris a la his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds in London. A source informs, "The popularity Shah Rukh enjoys in France is phenomenal. In fact, Shah Rukh himself had no idea how popular his films were in France. So, keeping in mind his enormous popularity with the French, Paris will also have Shah Rukh's wax statue soon." Reportedly, an official delegation from the museum approached the superstar with a request for his wax statue to be instated at the Grevin Museum and Shah Rukh has given his consent. A source close to the actor confirms, "Artists from the museum have already taken the measurements for the statue and Shah Rukh is pretty excited about being waxed in Paris". So, how different will this statue be as compared to its counterpart in Madame Tussauds, London? "SRK's statue in Tussauds is formally dressed in a black suit, but the wax replica at Grévin might be dressed in smart casuals. Nothing has been finalised yet, so who knows, the statue might even have Shah Rukh flaunting his famous six-pack abs." Reportedly, the statue will be unveiled in April this year and Shah Rukh will fly to Paris to do the honours.
