Bollywood and cricket have always had a lot in common, however, now there is one more meeting point. Veteran cricketer, Sandeep Patil's son -- Chirag Patil -- has made his way onto the small screen in a Balaji Telefilms serial, much to his father's disapointment. It was Saif Ali Khan who first broke the mould, insted of wielding the willow like dad Mansur ali Khan Pataudi. Saif decided to woo the big screen instead. Though initially a tough choice to make, nevertheless the actor has finally silenced his critics and the family memebers. Saif's now got company in Chirag Patil who is the latest cricketer's son to take to the screen, in Ekta Kapoor's  -- Karam Apna Apna. Commenting on his son's debut, Sandeep said that he was dissapointed but he did not have any choice. The cricketer was not excited about Chirag's debut. But, in spite of parental opposition, Chirag decided to follow his passion for the spotlight considering that it was not easy at all. Chirag said that he loves acting and is thrilled to be a part of the Ekta Kapoor camp. However, Sandeep Patil's opposition to his son's Bollywood dream may surprise one and all. After all the man himself tried his hand at Bollywood as well. Talking about his short-lived Bollywood career Sandeep said, "I am sorry that i did not become a popular Bollywood figure."
