Actor Salman Khan has said he feels awkward while doing romantic scenes with his girlfriend Katrina Kaif. "In 'Yuvraj', we have been paired as a romantic lead for the first time. However, I feel awkward. Besides, the audience will feel that the real life girlfriend-boyfriend story is being played on the screen," Salman told reporters on the sets of his new film "Veer" at Mehboob Studios.
"Also, I want the audience to give our pair the respect and dignity it deserves," he said. He said both he and Katrina have worked in a few films but were not romantically paired opposite each other.
"Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya" was a comedy and the two did not have romantic scenes while in "Partner" Katrina was paired opposite Govinda. Speaking about "Veer", Salman said he has written the script for the film. "It is a period film about men and honour. It also has comedy," he said.
To a question on why he opted for Anil Sharma as a director for "Veer", Salman said Katrina suggested his name as she had worked with him earlier (in "Apne").
About his role in "God Tusi Great Ho" releasing tomorrow, Salman said it was a comedy where the protagonist is forever complaining to god. On whether he speaks to god in real life, the actor said he does so and sometimes people think he has gone mad.
Asked about his television show 'Dus Ka Dum', Salman said he is enjoying it as he can be "himself" on the show.
"That's what I am. There are no pretentions. People close to me and my fans understand me. I have always interacted with my fans. But certainly not to the extent of asking them questions like I do on the show," he said.
Salman said talks were on for season two of the show and he was immensely satisfied over the manner in which it had progressed.
When asked if he would continue writing the blog after the first season ends, Salman said he would continue to do so because it helps him to present his side to the fans.
He said he had liked the concept of 'Dus Ka Dum' which was entertaining and fun.
On what does he prioritise when he signs a film, Salman said the very first 10 minutes of script narration should impress him. "I feel it is only then audience will see the movie for three hours," he added. ... read more »
