He's known to be a maverick, his films don't follow the beaten path and controversies simply don't cease to leave him and this time Ram Gopal Verma is making waves again as he is all set to rule the box office with his next film, 'Sarkar Raj'. TIMES NOW correspondent Amrita Puri caught up with the film maker to know whether he is feeling the weight of the most awaited film of 2008. Verma also spoke about the cast of the film and the controversies surrounding them.
Amrita: 'Sarkar Raj' is one of the most awaited films of 2008, are you feeling the weight of expectations?Verma: No, the job of the film maker is to do the best of his capacity and I have done that.
Amrita: The cast in the film is already a family. That must have made it easier to develop an on-screen chemistry between them?Verma: I never thought of them as a family. All of them are accomplished actors and the fact that they are family is incidental.
Amrita: Is 'Sarkar Raj' a continuation of the film 'Sarkar'?Verma: It is not a sequel in the sense that it does not start of from were we had earlier ended. Both the films deal with different sets of situations.
Amrita: Lots of controversies have surrounded the movie, the latest one being regarding Aishwariya's sun glasses. What do you have to say?Verma: It is untrue.
