Republican Party of India President Ramdas Athawale today (August 19) threatened to move court alleging that he was dropped from a reality show 'Big Boss-2' aired on colors channel because he is a Dalit. Athawale told reporters his name was finalised by the newly-launched channel and after confirming his participation in the show he was dropped allegedly because he was a Dalit.
"I was invited by the channel to participate in the show from August 16, but they did not turn up," Athawale said. "There was no communication from the channel on August 16," the Lok Sabha MP said. "When I asked the channel about it, they replied that I was too high-profile to fit in the show," the former Maharashtra Minister said.Last week, Aamir Khan's brother Faisal Khan filed a case in a city court alleging his name was dropped from the show at the last moment without assigning any reason. The second season of Shilpa Shetty-hosted show, which went on air yesterday, will see 14 celebrities drawn from various walks of life staying in a house for 84 days.
