Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure who starred in films like Prem Rog, Woh Saat Din, Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai and Pyar Jhukta Nahin during her prime days is all set to make a comeback of sorts. The actress, who was last seen in a couple of forgettable flicks like Souten and Eight Shani in the year 2006, would now be seen in a film titled Daughter. The film talks about the issue of adopting a girl child and is directed by Viju Mane. Padmini would be seen playing the role of a married working woman who initially doesn't want to have children but later develops motherly feelings when her family decided to adopt a baby girl. Apart from Padmini Kolhapure, the film stars Marathi actor Vikram Gokhale, Reema, Ayub Khan ,Vinod Singh, Arun Nalawade and introduces Rucha who plays the title role.
