Ramesh Sippy recently received a bravery award for sitting through Ram Gopal Verma’s remake of his beloved Sholay, however, it looks as though Ramesh Sippy is in for yet another jolt. If sources have to be believed, Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is all set to make a second installment to his box office bomber -- Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag. RGV’s previous attempt of remaking Sholay bombed at the box office, even though it had some of the Bollywood biggies starring in it. But that does not seem to have stopped the filmmaker from attempting to remake Sholay for the second time. Although he was unavailable for comments a source close to the Director said, "We keep discussing ideas, but this does not mean that everything is implemented." Remaking a movie when one runs out of ideas is not a crime, but remaking one’s own remakes can be termed as a brain drain syndrome.  RGV may not be too concerned about the fate of his film making career, but the movie goers probably feel otherwise about sitting through another bad remake of  one of their all time favourite movies. ... read more »
