Veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, who won the national award for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in "Lage Raho Munnabhai", says the role that helped revive Gandhian philosophy among youths has been his toughest till date. "I have won several awards in the past. But this one is precious as I am getting it for a performance which has been the toughest so far. My role made Gandhi lovable and acceptable to the youth," Prabhavalkar said today (June 10). Prabhavalkar said the credit goes to Rajkumar Hirani for creating and conceiving Bapu in such a manner that the present-day world can identify with. Prabhavalkar also said his supporting act in the Marathi film "Shevri" was a unique role and was happy that it had been recognised. (PTI) ... read more »
