Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth hit the red carpet for the London premiere of the film version of the hit musical "Mamma Mia". Celebs and fans turned out in huge numbers for the world premiere of film version in London's Leicester Square. "I've written some music for films before, but haven't been hands on like in this project, recording it all and sort of being responsible for the sound of it," said the film's executive producer Benny Anderson.Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep takes on the role of single mother Donna Sheridan with Brosnan, Firth and Stellan playing three potential fathers to her daughter Sophie played by Amanda Seyfried. "I think that we've been outed as Abba fans most of us by now, I think there was the accepted pose of my generation, if you're a straight white male, was, the only involvement we had with Abba was to tune into Top of the Pops when they were wearing short skirts, but we had our pretences to keep up and I think here we are 30-odd years later and all the other stuff we were pretending to listen to has disappeared and Abba's still here," said Colin Firth."It seemed like a really great opportunity, to have a lot of fun and to be allowed to be free, physically, musically, emotionally, it's a great show, it really is," said talented actor Metryl Streep.This film certainly promises to be a visually musical treat and we are waiting with baited breath for the roller coaster ride... ... read more »
