Bangkok is all set to  play host to the 2008 IIFA Awards. As the the city gears to welcome the who's who of bollywood descend on the Thai capital to be part of whats has come to be known as one of the most prestigious events in Bollywood.According to sources, Sharukh Khan will give the awards show a miss this year, leaving the  Bachchan clan to take the lead and have the spotlight.If sources are to be believed, there will be around five hundred stars attending the awards ceremony which is to be held at Bangkok's finest theatrical attraction-- the Siam Niramit--.The IIFA awards have a viewership of over six hundered million. And it is not only the Indians living in Bangkok who are all excuited to meet their favorite Bollywood heartthrob ,but even the local Thai crowd is looking forward to the awards.
