At the press conference held on 24th April at the residence of veteran actor Chandrashekhar, the trustees of Dadasaheb Phalke Academy announced the recipients of Dadasaheb Phalke Academy awards. Legendary film-maker Dr. B.R. Chopra will be conferred with the prestigious Phalke Ratna award, while Rajesh Khanna will receive Phalke Golden Actor award. The sizzling star of 50s and 60s Shyama will receive Phalke Golden Era Actor award. Dance icon Sitara Devi will be honoured with Phalke Indian Classical Dancer award.
