'Singh Is Kinng' has ridden on the peppy beats of bhangra and Punjabi folk to top the music chart busters, feels singer Daler Mehndi. "Punjabi music has been the soul of 'Singh Is Kinng', Mehndi said. The ace singer, who has rendered his voice for the catchy number 'Bhootni Ke', said, "Not just 'Singh Is Kinng', most Bollywood hits and Indian rap singers depend on Punjabi music to ensure a popular song". He said when the film's music director Pritam called him to sing this popular Punjabi wedding song, he was so impressed with the idea that he immediately agreed to lend his voice. Apart from Mehndi, his equally-versatile brother Mika has sung the title track of the movie along with Hard Kaur, Neeraj Shridhar and Ashish Pandit.
