The prestigious Padma awards were presented at the capital yesterday (April 5) and this year’s recipients saw a mix of people from the field of entertainment, sports, business and even politics. The recipients of this year’s Padma Vibhushan Award included veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle, master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Infosys chief mentor N.R.Narayana Murthy, renowned hotelier P.R.S.Oberoi and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
